On shore wind power generation is also an upcoming domain of Prime Renewables. The company is studying the 50MW Mustang Wind Power Project. A license was obtained in its group company Future Wind Power P Ltd from Department of Electricity Development, Government of Nepal. Nepal has good wind potential estimate at 25GW and fertile pockets are seen in Mustang, Jumla etc. Wind could provide a good blending with day time solar power to ensure round the clock availability of power.
