Across the Commercial and Industrial Segment, roof top solar projects have been developed extensively by Prime Renewables P Ltd. This includes manufacturing industries and commercial establishment, wherein the unused roof space is used for solar power generation. The projects are being developed under the OPEX and CAPEX model based on customer’s requirement and risk assessment. Under the OPEX Model, a Power Purchase Agreement is executed for a period of 20 years with the industry and investments made by Prime Renewables. Under the CAPEX model, Prime Renewables works as a EPC Contractor providing a complete solution to develop the roof top solar installation from Design Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning. Operation and Maintenance services are provided as well on need basis.

Prime Renewables is the largest player in this segment based on projects in hand and revenues generated.

Installations include 40 projects of various sizes all over Nepal largest being the Shiv Shakti Group, Birgunj, 3.9MW Project which was commissioned in July 2025.

The current inventory is 25MW of roof top installations primarily in manufacturing industries.

The unused roof space provides an amazing opportunity to place solar PV Modules and harness the green energy through smart AI enabled Inverters. The power generated is at same voltage level as required for running the machines, eliminating the requirement of any additional Equipments and associated cost.
