Power Trading

Power trading is a key driver for balancing power across various sources of energy, consumer demand pattern, countries and the region. Solar power has intermittent generation only during the day. Hydropower generation drops during the dry season and seasonal storage is a tall order. Wind power generation depends on wind pattern and is erratic. Fossil fuel-based power generation requires replacement with greener energy sources. The price of power at various time intervals is ever changing.  Power trading is future and provides the real solution.

Prime Renewables promoters have incorporated Nepal Power Exchange Limited, Nepal’s leading private sector power trading entity. NEPEX has equity investment of almost 90% of Nepal’s Hydropower sector and investment of leading Nepalese Banks and insurance companies. Strategic tie up has been done with Manikaran Power Limited, India’s leading power trading company.
