The limitations of wind and solar power being intermittent and not round the clock, has been transcended with the new emerging Energy Storage Technology. The life of BESS is more than 20 years (7-10K cycles) and provides a 90% Round Trip Efficiency. Unlike its predecessor of Lead Acid battery wherein input output losses are 25%, this BESS is less than 10%. It is amazing to know that BESS doesn’t require space either with a 20ft container storing 5MWh plus of power.
